Mediation is a neutral, impartial process that enables the parties to a dispute to negotiate a settlement in an informal setting so that they can focus on solutions that address their interests. Under the guidance of a skilled mediator, the parties have the opportunity to agree upon the terms necessary to settle their dispute.  Mediation is a confidential and entirely voluntary process that can save substantial time, stress, and money when compared to litigation.

Thomas Swett is a member of the Amador County Superior Court's panel of approved mediators and also offers private mediation services, either in Sutter Creek or a place of the parties’ choosing.  Mr. Swett's mediation practice is focused on real property title and transactional issues, contract disputes, and other general civil litigation cases.
